Explore the old mining
town of Jardine, 5 miles east of Gardiner. Trailheads from here
lead to the Absoroka wilderness with access to remote fishing
lakes and breath-taking scenery.
Galleries, gift shops, a
theater and restaurants are just a leisurely stroll away in the
"undiscovered" town of Gardiner, Montana.

Activities are
year-round in Gardiner, as the North entrance to Yellowstone is
the only road accessible by car to Cooke City, MT. Wildlife
viewing along this route in the fall and winter months are the
best time to see antelope, bison, elk, deer, bighorn sheep and
wolves, and also to avoid the crowds.
River raft trips,
canoeing, fishing, hunting (outside the Park), horseback riding,
hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling are
just a few of the many activities.
