July 2007

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us!  The rooms were beautiful and made us feel right at home.  We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and the garden is an oasis of calm.  Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable and we hope to see you again soon!

M Family, Pennsylvania

In keeping with the historic theme on the home, three rooms are named for a significant person in the park's history. Teddy Roosevelt (President of the United States), William Henry Jackson (the Park's first photographer), and Thomas Moran (the famous artist who visited and painted Yellowstone in 1871). Historical photos from the park archives are displayed throughout the house and each room.

Relax after a day of sightseeing in the family room with satellite TV, an extensive library and videos on Yellowstone, and table games. During the winter a wood stove creates a warm cozy atmosphere. A large shaded porch and a beautifully landscaped cottage garden invite you to take in the fresh country air and enjoy the Big Sky experience.  Or watch as deer, elk and bison wonder through the front yard and sometimes even stop to take a rest.

Built in 1904 by entrepreneur W. A. Hall, Yellowstone Suites is a three-story stone house situated just three blocks from the historic Roosevelt Arch and original entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Legend has it that the stones used on the second and third floors are said to be "leftovers" from building the Roosevelt Arch.

The historic home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood off the main highway and next to the Yellowstone River, where the sounds of the river lull you to sleep. Views of Electric Peak and the surrounding mountain ranges entice you to explore.

Four guest rooms, 2 with private baths and a Suite with a kitchenette, are arranged for comfort and privacy on the second and third floors. Bay windows, balconies and verandahs invite the natural beauty of the surrounding scenery into your room.

Breakfast is served family style and includes an egg dish, meat, hot/cold cereals, seasonal fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh baked pastries and a wide assortment of beverages. During the winter season, a continental plus breakfast or the "breakfast-to-go" is available.  House specialties include Cheese Blintz's, Apple Pecan Custard coffee cake, fruit cobbler, banana bread and warm croissants.

Packed lunches or gourmet picnic items can also be purchased.
